With the passage of Amendment 2 in Missouri in late 2018, Cannabis sativa became legal for medical purposes.  Though many advocates celebrated the change, the freedom they imagined has come to only a limited number of the state's residents.  With a select few licenses granted to growers, vendors and prescribing physicians,  prohibition is still the reality for the vast majority.  On this episode, we speak with 3 people at the heart of this legal and (agri)cultural shift.  Joani Harshman runs the Harshman Law Firm, practicing what has become known as cannabis law.  Mark Samborski is an urban farmer and medical marijuana patient who is working to educate people about the benefits of the cannabis plant and plants in general.  Dolores Halbin is a former nurse who, along with the Canna Convict Project, has been fighting to reform the laws that put her husband behind bars and ended his life.  Find out the reality about legalization of the cannabis plant in Missouri and what can be done to further change its perception and regulation.
