The technology sector has long been accused of not being truly representative of wider society. From ethnicity to gender and on through areas like neurodiversity and socio-economic background, it often appears that there is a very distinct “type” that is likely to succeed, particularly at leadership level, within tech and data organisations. However, over the last 10 years or so, it could be argued that this has begun to change and that a newer, more diverse group of leaders have started to change the power dynamic within the sector.
