It’s been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but does this hold true when it comes to imitating different cultures? In episode 5, The Crew explores culture appropriation vs. appreciation and tries to lay down some ground rules for distinguishing between the two…but doesn’t agree on where exactly the line should be drawn or whether minorities can even be guilty of appropriation at all. Kay then follows up on Episode 1’s Food for Thought (F4T) and discusses the now dire situation with the future of the Supreme Court following RBG’s passing. The Democrats’ only options are pretty radical, but do they have the guts to do whatever it takes to protect Obamacare, women, LBGTQ, immigrant and voting rights? Let’s hope so.
