In the last couple of years, the pandemic spotlighted many problems medical education has been dragging for years. It has also unmasked what many people in healthcare already knew: social determinants of health impact the outcome and quality of people's lives. 

Our mission as educators is to train future doctors to be aware of healthcare disparities and be capable of providing culturally aware medical attention.
