Racism is a sinful violation of God’s heart. It exists and has to be intentionally confronted.

 

At Northpoint, we have a mission of creating Christ-centered, culture-changing community. Creating is hard work. It is easy to live self-centered, but it’s challenging to live Christ-centered. It is easy to absorb culture, but it’s difficult to alter culture. And if we want to create real community (the kind of love and unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17), then we must have real conversations.

 

We believe that these cultural conversations will help give us all a better perspective, so we can more effectively navigate these tough times.

 

Jelani Lewis is a Campus Pastor for Pastor Robert Morris at Gateway Church. He has lead their Frisco campus for the past three years. Pastor Jelani is from Shreveport, Louisiana, and he has been a close friend of Pastor Phillip since high school.
