For this Cultures Around the World, I speak with Valarie from Kenya. Valarie is a lawyer/ women's rights activist/ lover of all things Kenyan. We talk about the countries wide array of animals and natural wonders like the Crying Rock and Hells Gate park. She tells me more about Wangari Maathai, the First African Woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize for environmental activism. Valarie also lets me know about Kenya's growth as a developing country and how they are well on their way to the world stage. It was a great talk and her obvious passion and love of Kenya really shines through.
