This episode is part one of a conversation with Tom about his experience with a Pilonidal Sinus which took quite a severe turn. Setting him on an arduous path to complete recovery, putting his life on hold just as it was getting started.

This series serves to bring awareness and education to Pilonidal Sinuses and the impact it can have on the lives of those who have dealt with them.

Pilonidal Sinus/ Cyst: An abnormal skin growth located at the tailbone that contains hair and skin.

The cyst is usually located near the tailbone and can become easily infected.

Treatment involves drainage and surgical removal of the cyst.
