Dr. Doug Petrovich, author of The World’s Oldest Alphabet and Origins of the Hebrews, explains why a recently translated curse inscription found at Jerusalem and dated to about 1300 BC is not, as has been reported, an example of porto-Canaanite script, but rather more evidence that the Israelites had a written language centuries earlier than previously thought.
