Five Steps for Focused Prayer
Praise and Thanksgiving– “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name” (Psalm 100:4)!
Worship – “Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth” (Psalm 96:9)!
Repentance: Psalm 51
Supplication/Intercession: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people” (1 Tim. 1:8)
Meditation: “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:2).
