Twenty-six years ago, I was a few months into my first ever radio gig. Tweny-six years ago, Papa Roach were putting out their second full-length album and first to be released on a major label called Infest. Not too long after that, I met Jacoby while doing radio stuff, and he was doing press, and we've stayed in touch ever since. So when Papa Roach, who are fresh off the biggest year of their carreer released a new song, I reached out and said let's chat for my show The Cutting Edge Countdown and for this podcast Cutter's Rockcast. There's a lot to celebrate if you're Jacoby Shaddix, and new music is only part of it.

Dameon and his brother Gabe Aranda started their band as teenages in Oklahoma City officially in 2001. The two musicians/song writers hit their stride a few years later amazing a few top 20 rock radio hits, and even giving a song to Kelly Clarkson before taking some time off shortly before the pandemic. A few years later Aranda are back with new music and a full push to allow you to hear it, and touring later this year. Dameon digs into the history of the band and what it takes to be a powerful musician this week on the Rockcast.

New Aranda song "You Don't Wanna Know" is available now with a new album called Are you Not Entertained? is due out this spring.

Megadeth just released their 17th studio album, but unfortunately it's their last. Dave Mustaine says this is it for Megadeth music, so this week on the Rockcast, we find out why, as the legendary Dave Mustaine joins me and my morning show co-host Laura Lee for a conversation about going out on top, stories of the past, health concerns, and what it takes to be in a 40 plus year succesful band. 

Megadeth's self-titled album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and features his version of the Metallica classic "Ride The Lightning," co-written by Dave Mustaine.

At the end of the 1990s Brother Cane, after three number one rock singles, the broke up. 26 years later they are back! Founder, guitarist, and singer Damon Johnson caught up with us about the comeback of Brother Cane and why playing guitar for Lynyrd Skynyrd helped make it happen. 

New album Magnolia Medicine is due out this April

25 years ago a group of metal loving guys in Sweden formed a band with an idea to do music based on Military history, and it worked. Little did they know then that a millions of people would gravitate towards that idea. That idea is the band Sabaton. I was one of those millions of people who loved the idea and the premise, plus the music is fantastic. Pure heavy metal in every sense of the phrase. Their latest album Legends has songs based on historical military legends, like the Templars or Napoleon. There is also the song "Crossing the Rubicon" that features the help of Nothing More, giving Sabaton their first ever charted rock radio hit. Lead singer Joakim Broden joins me this week on Cutter's Rockcast and my radio show The Cutting Edge Countdown.

In 2020, Zero 9:36 hit the rock scene running with the single "Adrenaline" and an album released in early 2021 called ...If You Don't Save Yourself. Except there was this little thing that happened called an international pandemic that shut everything down and put careers on hold. Since then Zero has been doing it his way, and he joins me to discuss just that, his take on A.I., and much, much more.

Chris Kael is the bass player for Five Finger Death Punch and while they just announced a bunch of tour dates in honor of their 20th annivesary, Chris has been keeping busy as a stand up comedian and podcast host. Story of the Year put out their debut album Page Avenue in 2003 and helped changed the rock and roll landscape. The songs "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day" are legendary in the alt-rock world. From there the band exisited until it didn't, and then it did again. Right now the band themselves might be at their creative best and founding member and guitarist Ryan Phillips joins us to talk new music, skateboarding, and rocking in your 40s. Plus real talk too. 

The new song "Gasoline" is availble now, while the new album A.R.S.O.N. is due out in February.

Her name is Amanda Lyberg and she's got things to say. Amanda is the lead singer of Eva Under Fire and while you might be thinking "wait, isn't her name Eva Marie?" well, it was. Or, at least that's what they wanted you to believe. Who's they? Lets answer that question and more on this week's episode of Cutter's Rockcast.

Wolfgang Van Halen is the frontman, guitarist, drummer, bassist and songwriter for the band Mammoth. Yes he plays all the instruments on their albums, Mammoth III just came out. On stage though Wolfgang has a plethra of amazing musicians backing him up. 

Myles Kennedy is the lead singer of Alter Bridge who's new album AB is due out in January. He's also the lead singer for Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. When he's not busy with those projects he has is own solo band. 

Mammoth are on tour until mid December with Myles opening up the shows and I had the pleasure of joining them on a recent tour stop that ended with a conversation in Myles' dressing room with both of them.
