Atreyu at this point are the elder statesmen of metal-core and they're embracing it. That doesn't mean they are slowing down, in fact you could make the argument that Atreyu are busier and more relevant now then ever before. With a new album coming out next Friday called The End is Not the End, the old school has met the new school. On top of that a tour with the most influential band in modern heavy music, Sevendust, kicks off this week. It's good to be in Atreyu right now, let's find out more from lead singer Brandon Saller.

It's not just a fun band name named after a Rob Zombie song, Living Dead Girl are the real deal. Molly Rennick is the lead singer and mastermind behind the horror themed metal band and she's all in 110%. After gaining some steam with their 2021 album Exorcism they are back with their 2nd efford, an album called Conspiracy. You do get what expect, but plus a lot more. They are heavy, Molly screams her ass off, but also sings her ass off. Time to introduce you to your new favorite horror themed metal band, Living Dead Girl.

When you start a band, you have a certain number of goals you'd like to hit. Get a deal, record a record, go on tour, rinse and repeat. The ultimate goal is to just make a living doing what you love. For Matt Brandyberry, it's not enough. Matt wants to win the Super Bowl of rock music, but what is that? He explains, along with a preview of the new From Ashes to New album called Reflections, due out on April 17th.

After 2 top 20 rock singles and a couple amazing tours, the Canadian based (even though Jake lives in Detroit now) rap influenced hard rock band Autumn Kings are back with new music! "Gone, Gone, Gone" was co-written by Charlie Scene of Hollywood Undead and Jake says it's their heaviest song yet. Let's make Jake explain himself right now on Cutter's Rockcast.

Brian and Ruben from the Austin based metal band Bridges Ablaze join me because why not. We are all about introducing new music on this podcast and via my radio show The Cutting Edge Countdown, and it doesn't get any newer than this. While the band has existed for a few years, it's really just been these two menacing guitar players, writing, recording, and playing their way into the hearts of Texas metal fans. They don't sound like Pantera though, it's progressive leaning metal core with some classic rock sensiblitly thrown in. 20 years ago the Salt Lake City, Utah based band Royal Bliss put out their debut album, then the economy crashed and the upward trajactory of the band was put on hold. A couple more albums and a ton of touring saw the band hitting on all gears 10 years ago when after a couple top 20 singles and a ton more touring the pandemic hit, and everything got put on hold again. Here in early 2026 Royal Bliss are at again, fingers crossed nothing crazy happens this time. Lead singer Neal Middleton is here to debut the new song "By My Side" and tell some stories.

Twenty-six years ago, I was a few months into my first ever radio gig. Tweny-six years ago, Papa Roach were putting out their second full-length album and first to be released on a major label called Infest. Not too long after that, I met Jacoby while doing radio stuff, and he was doing press, and we've stayed in touch ever since. So when Papa Roach, who are fresh off the biggest year of their carreer released a new song, I reached out and said let's chat for my show The Cutting Edge Countdown and for this podcast Cutter's Rockcast. There's a lot to celebrate if you're Jacoby Shaddix, and new music is only part of it.

Dameon and his brother Gabe Aranda started their band as teenages in Oklahoma City officially in 2001. The two musicians/song writers hit their stride a few years later amazing a few top 20 rock radio hits, and even giving a song to Kelly Clarkson before taking some time off shortly before the pandemic. A few years later Aranda are back with new music and a full push to allow you to hear it, and touring later this year. Dameon digs into the history of the band and what it takes to be a powerful musician this week on the Rockcast.

New Aranda song "You Don't Wanna Know" is available now with a new album called Are you Not Entertained? is due out this spring.

Megadeth just released their 17th studio album, but unfortunately it's their last. Dave Mustaine says this is it for Megadeth music, so this week on the Rockcast, we find out why, as the legendary Dave Mustaine joins me and my morning show co-host Laura Lee for a conversation about going out on top, stories of the past, health concerns, and what it takes to be in a 40 plus year succesful band. 

Megadeth's self-titled album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and features his version of the Metallica classic "Ride The Lightning," co-written by Dave Mustaine.

At the end of the 1990s Brother Cane, after three number one rock singles, the broke up. 26 years later they are back! Founder, guitarist, and singer Damon Johnson caught up with us about the comeback of Brother Cane and why playing guitar for Lynyrd Skynyrd helped make it happen. 

New album Magnolia Medicine is due out this April
