An "unplugged" preview from my forthcoming album Elfhame. Not exactly raw acoustic, as there are virtual instruments here as well as some synth atmospheres, but "acoustic" was the handiest term I could think of for mixes without the usual heavy beat and bass of the main mixes.
I will be releasing the "acoustic mixes" as well as the usual dance mixes on my Bandcamp page. I hope you enjoy this quieter and more subtle version of the track, highlighting the framedrum , tamborine, and melodic elements.
About "Cutty Wren" : A song of obscure origins, some trace it back to a peasants revolt of the 1300s (notably Chumbawamba, with their fine version on "English Rebel Songs"); others connect the lyrics to the ritual hunting of the wren on St. Stephens Day, a custom which may have ancient Druidic roots. Either way a classic antique tune - enjoy!
