They could offer progressive candidates (not sellout, corporate-ass so-called "moderate candidates," but actual progressive candidates running for statewide office) more campaign cash and staffing.

That would assure a more direct benefit to the American people.

 They could also throw more resources into state legislative races, which ought to be an easy decision...
