President Donald Trump has announced that the arrest of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil may be the first in a series of actions targeting campus demonstrations against Israel and the Gaza conflict. Khalil, a lawful U.S. resident and former Columbia University graduate student, was detained by federal immigration agents in New York and transferred to an immigration facility in Louisiana.
