Kia ora everyone, while I am finishing the new video of my Behind the Cloud Technical video series, I would like to share 2 stories about technology in a way but not related to my role at IBM...so I am sorry about it, feel free to ignore it, but if you are a parent and have kids using mobile devices, I would strongly encourage you to stay with me up to the end as you might find somehow useful.
There is no doubt technology has positive impacts in early ages, if well managed, but the overuse of these devices (as anything in life) could be slowing down or even blocking our abilities to carry out any task from the simplest to the most complex.
But some mechanisms of how we learn, remember, problem-solve, and pay attention, can be impacted by some groups of applications inside mobile phones.
Games that can cause positive impact in our problem solving capabilities could cause lack of perception of things near you, so what to do? I will try to start explaining a little bit of what I am doing in my PhD research project from this regards.
