Johnny picks up where he left off in Night City's Vista Del Ray neighborhood where he tries to remember the right button to switch weapons and ends up tossing grenades into the middle of a busy marketplace. Then he tries to stop an assault in progress but his overzealous bike jumping creates some problems. Oops! Also, Johnny doesn't really understand Breach Protocol. He really just needs to figure out where to buy ammunition.

Viktor Vektor sends him some clothes, Johnny examines his character traits, then he goes back to his apartment and takes a shower.

After that, he does the Olive Branch quest and lets Sergei Karasinski's "passenger" go free.
