FEDERAL LEGISLATION UPDATE TO THE PRIVACY ACT

There has been a Australian Pricacy Act update and it's important you know what you have to do in the event you have a breach of your data which effects your customers.

Examples of a data breach include when:

a device containing customers’ personal information is lost or stolen;

a database containing personal information is hacked; and

personal information is mistakenly provided to the wrong person.
