This episode is part 3 of 4 in a series diving deeper into each of the phases of our menstrual cycles. In this episode we cover the luteal phase.
If you don't have a menstrual cycle, for whatever reason, you can apply the phases of the moon as a good starting point for understanding what's going on in your body, so the menstrual phase would be your new moon phase and the full moon would be your ovulation phase.
Key points in this episode- Luteal is the phase of our cycle after ovulation and before our period. It's our inner autumn or waning moon phase.
- Estrogen drops after ovulation and then rises again slightly. Progesterone is triggered by ovulation and is our key hormone in this phase.
- In luteal phase we move from a more externally focused high energy 'doing' phase of our cycle into a lower energy, more internally focused 'being' energy
- Luteal is a phase of creativity, inspiration, and completion.
