This is it. After years of studying the gospel basics, the American Revolution, the spies, the Spartans, the founding mothers, the prison ships, and everything in between — Cydni and Sher are closing this chapter. Today, Sher shares the scriptures she highlighted in seminary, Cydni shares the ones that anchored her through the hardest years of her life, and they both agree that weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Thank you for being here every week. The duty was ours. The results were God's. And we are so glad you are here!

What if God actually wants your honest, messy, Amazon-delivery-is-late prayer instead of your polished one? This week Cydni and Sher dig into the Book of Psalms, Israel's hymn book. They talk about the shift in Psalm 23 from "he" to "thou" when things get dark, why Christ quoted Psalm 22 from the cross, and what the word "selah" actually means. There is also Cydni's very own modern psalm about gray hair, caffeine, and the weariness of being weary. This week's episode is "He Restores My Soul: The Book of Psalms" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Read Psalm 23 every day for seven days.

Most of us are not going to get a dramatic, unmistakable moment of revelation, and that is actually completely normal. This week Cydni and Sher dig into how to recognize your moment through personal revelation, why Esther's three days of fasting and prayer is actually a pattern we can follow, and what Elder Bednar says about the small, incremental nudges that in totality become the answer we've been looking for. There is also a story about a classroom emoji that was just a flower, and Cydni's very brief shoplifting career at age five. This week's episode is "The Waiting Is Where the Trust Gets Built" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Practice the pattern of personal revelation this week: prepare spiritually, ask and listen, then record and act on what you receive.

Turns out courage isn't something you either have or don't have — it's something you practice. This week Cydni and Sher break down the basics of courage, why fear is actually just information, and why it's sometimes easier to throw yourself in front of a bus than to invite someone to book club. They also cover why Sunday school answers are actually the real answers. This week's episode is "Courage Is Not the Absence of Fear — It Is Faith Outweighing It" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Turn to Christ, pray for courage, and then be willing to act.

What if you were placed exactly where you are, at exactly this moment, on purpose? This week Cydni and Sher come back to the gospel basics with the story of Esther, a woman who didn't ask for any of it and ended up exactly where God needed her. They talk about what it really means to be a chosen generation and why Rudy the dog might actually have his whole purpose figured out better than most of us. You were not placed in your life by accident you were prepared for such a time as this. This week's episode is "You Were Raised For Such a Time As This" and we are so glad you are here!

They worked. They suffered. They prayed. And then they watched God do what they could not do alone. This week Cydni and Sher wrap up their summer series with two of the most remarkable miracles of the American Revolution — the night Washington moved an entire army and cannons up a hill in complete silence, and the wind and tide that handed the French a victory at Chesapeake Bay. The founding parents knew exactly where their blessings came from, and they showed gratitude every single time. This week's episode is "They Did Their Part - Miracles of the Revolution," and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Get involved, take a stand for religious freedom, study the principles of the American founders, and teach them in your family.

We talk a lot about winning the American Revolution. This week Cydni and Sher slow down and talk about what it actually cost. From the prisoners crammed into the HMS Jersey to a war widow named Elizabeth Burgin and other ordinary civilians who had their homes seized, their mail read, and their blankets stolen. These people endured because they truly believed that God gave them the right to be free, and nothing could shake that. Also, Cydni studied pirate ships instead and it honestly worked out fine. This week's episode is "The Real Cost of Freedom" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Go online this week and find a personal letter written by an ordinary soldier during the Revolutionary War. Read it, and let it change your perspective on what freedom actually cost.

Nobody wanted to be a spy. It was dishonorable, unglamorous, and if you got caught, there was no trial, no mercy, and no prisoner of war status — just a rope. This week Cydni and Sher dig into the spies of the American Revolution, from Nathan Hale, who volunteered when no one else would and paid for it with his life, to the more sophisticated Culper Ring. Nobody knew their names for over 150 years, and that was exactly the point. This week's episode is "Sometimes the Most Important Service Is the Kind No One Sees" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Look for an opportunity this week to serve someone in a quiet, unseen way — and then don't tell anyone you did it.

They were enslaved. They were teenagers. They were farm boys with rifles off the fireplace mantel fighting the most powerful military in the world. This week Sher takes us through the stories of four men you probably never learned about in school: Peter Salem, Jordan Freeman, Lambo Latham, and Joseph Plumb Martin. These men had every reason to walk away, but instead they fought for us and our God-given gift of freedom. This week's episode is "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Sacrifice" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Reflect on what promptings or impressions you received during the July 5th fast about how to continue learning about your country and the freedoms that were won for you.

They were told their brains were too small to make moral choices. Then the Revolution happened, and women boycotted British goods, ran farms alone, dressed as men to fight, manned cannons after their husbands fell, and demanded an education in return for raising the next generation of patriots. This week Cydni takes the teaching reins for the first time ever and walks Sher through the incredible and largely forgotten history of women in the American Revolution. There may also be a tangent about lice, tar, and the world's first Molly Pitcher. This week's episode is "From Spinning Wheels to Cannons, Women of the Revolution" and we are so glad you are here!
This Week's Challenge
Take time this week to research a woman from the Revolution on your own so you can feel the same spark and love for history that Cydni found.
