111 people have died in the wildfires, but officials say they are still searching the badly-hit areas, so that number could rise. Dave and Debbie conduct a special hour focused on the devastation and recovery of Maui. Hawaii has vowed to protect Maui homeowners from land grabs after wildfires as investors pose interest. Cierra Leavitt, Resident of Lahaina on Maui joins the show to share her personal thoughts on that issue and bring an update to what is happening on the island today. She explains that there is little to no service in the area she is in. D2 speaks with Earl Foote with Nexus IT on what to do in low signal situations and the options available during an emergency for communication. Then, Dave and Debbie speak with Chief Anthony Widdison with UFA to get a better understanding as to how this fire got to such an extreme level and speak with Mary Richards from Church News who landed on Maui last night to learn more on the recovery efforts.
