Join us for D20 Date Night: Discussions, where we take a look at a beloved Disney movie through the lens of Dungeons and Dragons. We'll identify the main characters and discuss which class(es) fits each best. We'll review the overall goal(s) of the adventuring party, as well as the setbacks they encounter. In our third episode, we will discuss The Little Mermaid.
We'll examine their interactions with different NPCs and how these advance the story, and we will analyze the overall conflict and final resolution of the film. We'll cover the encounters, whether those are combat, role-playing, or problem-solving. And, of course, we'll spend some time on any quest rewards or magical items that make an appearance.
In Episode 3, we focus on The Little Mermaid. This film tells the story of Ariel, the mermaid.
Disney’s animated classic The Little Mermaid tells the story of Princess Ariel, a curious and free-spirited mermaid who courageously follows her dreams and embarks on life-changing adventures to find what she truly treasures. From her home under the sea, Ariel longs to explore the wonders of the world above the waves. Determined to make her dreams come true, Ariel strikes a bargain with the evil sea witch Ursula and trades her beautiful voice so she can be part of the human world.
