Knee jerk reaction and going through life only reacting shocked and awed is caused by ignoring clear warning signs and never preparing or planning. It is important to be all in or all out.

Instead of telling me not to panic in a crisis, it would be better to provide a plan or road map of how to work things out the best I can. Probably I need to be told, see what you can do, better late than never.
