This is the premiere episode of the Dad First series. In this episode, I sit down with Roberto “Rob” Requena for a conversation on what it looks like to co-parent with integrity for the greater good.
Rob was born in Monterrey, Mexico and raised in a small East Texas town called Kilgore. He started working at 11 years old, joined the military right out of high school, studied criminal justice, and went on to serve in law enforcement.
But what matters most to him is simple: being present for his son and raising him to be a good man by becoming the best man he can be. Rob speaks on fatherhood, leadership, and character — the kind of co-parenting we don’t hear enough about: steady, accountable, and rooted in what’s right.
