A conversation about a non existent relationship with a parent...

Sarah and I both have NO relationships with our fathers. On our walk today, I told Sarah about the exact moment I stopped seeing my dad as my dad. As she Shared her own story with me, I had an epiphany. 

If you asked our dads the reason why they have no relationship with their kids, would it be the same as the reason Sarah and I give? Would we give the same account of why the relationship went south.
