In 1974, fifty-five-year-old beauty salon operator Evelyn Wendt of Dade City, Florida, contacted the local West Palm Beach paper called “The Weekday” and asked to be interviewed by a reporter. She claimed that she had an extraordinary story to share with the world, and now the time was right to unveil it.

Before the interview was over, the story included an alien spaceship piloted by the strangest of creatures.  These creatures had a purpose in mind bent upon destruction that may or may not have had the best interest of our planet at heart.

Regardless, this woman’s tale describes an encounter so strangely wonderful that it deserves to be told.
