Today we talk about a bunch of new things happening with Artificial Intelligence (AI). One of the big things is that AI is getting really good at understanding and using information, just like humans! For example, Google made an AI called LearnLM that's a whiz at explaining things in a way that's easy for anyone to understand. Another company, Patronus AI, created Glider, a super-smart AI that can judge how good other AIs are doing their jobs. Glider is special because it's small but powerful and can even explain why it made a decision. ModernBERT is another cool AI that's super fast and can handle lots of information, making it perfect for things like finding the right piece of code in a giant pile of computer programs. But AI is also causing some problems. Apple's new AI feature, Apple Intelligence, has been making up fake news headlines, and people are worried it could hurt the trust we have in news sources. This just goes to show that even though AI is getting really smart, we still need to be careful about how we use it!
