Are we willing to be someone’s answer to prayer?
Here we meet a high ranking soldier in the roman army, Cornelius. He would not be the choice of the jewish Christians to be the first Gentile convert and this will be a hard lesson for the church to learn.
Cornelius was not just devout himself, but encouraged his whole household to be so too. His devotion to prayer led to the practical out giving to the poor and needy. But he was lacking something.
