Jesus & His Friends
This morning we are going to think about the way that Jesus gathered up a group of men and shaped them into a community of friends – people that Jesus was able to call His friends.
Its incredible how Jesus takes a group of loosely connected men and turns them into disciples. Fishermen, Tax-Collectors, Political activists, men from very different social and economic backgrounds, introverts and extroverts, hot headed individuals and quiet methodical individuals. What a crazy bunch. And yet, Jesus shaped these individuals into a team that would eventually help turn the world upside down with their words and action in the name of Christ. Quite incredible! What has brought about such a change?
