When I told a few people in my home group that I was going to be writing devotionals on the subject of ‘rest’ there were some raised eyebrows and even a few sniggers. It is fair to say that I had not missed the irony myself. I am truly terrible at resting. I place value in business, in order, in structure. Resting feels like it has to be earnt. 
I wonder how many of you feel like that. I know that Martha felt like that.
