The Shalom Peace of God

We are going to return to our Psalms of the Ascents for a week – these pslams were probably used by pilgrims making their dangerous journey up into the mountains to arrive at Jerusalem and the Temple. 

These pslams were a way of the pilgrims preparing themselves for their Temple time, bringing sacrifices and worship.

The pilgrimage was not just about the destination – getting to the temple – but about the preparation, the journey too.
