Make Space to Look Up!
We are going to spend a few days with a few of the Psalms this week – ancient writing, written by people of faith, full of honesty, struggle – faith and confidence. We are going to start with one of David’s
Psalm 8
We spend so much of our life looking around us;
focusing on those things that worry us, the pressures of daily life, struggle
with relationships, the uncompleted tasks, concerns of health, finances.
We can spend time looking back; regrets, past
failures and mistakes, missed opportunities, hurts, injuries. We also spend time looking forward; hoping and
waiting for something to change, to happen.
In Psalm 8, David isn’t looking around, looking
back or looking forward - he is looking up!
