In this episode, Charlie explores this idea: Sometimes we’re a physical body looking for success and pleasure to get through each day and each task, but maybe we’re spiritual beings looking for long-term emotional fulfillment, like an eternal flame. How our brain reacts.

How survival mode affects us without us even thinking about it. 

And how we can get stuck in survival mode for a lifetime if we don’t do something about it.

Before we can rise up, we have to understand what brings us down and how.

This episode will clarify why so many react in fear, despair and brokenness.

We see:
Giving 
Volunteering

Resilience 
Sacrifice 
Bravery

For others we see:
Fear 
Despair 
Brokenness 
Obsession with news 

And still for others, the response is:
Hate
Destruction 
Death

How do we get on the good side and react in a way that demonstrates strength and goodness? Where challenge builds us?

We have to have a very important conversation about higher self living, and lower self living.

What is lower self living?
Why do some people get stuck there?
How does it start?

Resilience vs. Fear During Challenging Times Part 1

With everything going on in the world, we find ourselves asking “why are we alive? What is our purpose?”

There is a common and beautiful question we can ask ourselves to help us discover our purpose:

How do I use what I have (resources, knowledge, challenges) to help other people?

But most people are so busy looking for a huge cosmic, macro “life project,” when most probably your purpose is right in front of you. 

So today, look at your life and ask yourself, where are you needed? Who in your life really needs you? Your child? Your spouse? Is there a mitzvah in front of you? A person?

Don’t look for a big important job. Look at what’s in front of you today, and how you can take care of that with the most energy, enthusiasm, and holiness!

That’s how you find your purpose!
