Failure is something you experience.

It is not who you are.

The Bible says in Proverbs, chapter twenty-four, verse sixteen:

“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”

Notice that it doesn't say the righteous never fall.

They do.

Maybe you're dealing with disappointment, financial pressure, loneliness, family problems, failure, or uncertainty about the future.

And after facing the same struggle for so long, it's easy to start believing:

“This is just how my life is going to be.”

But listen carefully:

Your current struggle is not the end of your story.

A detour doesn't mean you've lost your destination.

Sometimes God can use the road you never wanted to travel.

Think about Joseph.

His brothers betrayed him.

He was sold into slavery.

He was falsely accused.

He ended up in prison.

None of that looked like the life God had promised him.

But years later, Joseph could look back and see that God had been working through circumstances he never would have chosen

What if you're stuck because you're trying to figure out everything before you take the first step?

You want to know how it will end.

You want to know if the decision will work.

You want to know whether the job will come through, whether the relationship will work, whether your plans will succeed.

Sometimes a closed door hurts more than waiting for an open one.

Because you had already imagined yourself on the other side.

Maybe it was the job you really wanted.

The relationship you hoped would work.

Don't let the pressure to figure everything out stop you from doing what you already know is right.

You don't need the whole map.

You just need enough faith to take the next step.

God isn't asking you to measure your life against your friend, your neighbour, your classmate, your colleague, or someone you follow online.

He's asking you to be faithful with what He has placed in your hands.

Think about Peter.

After Jesus told Peter what his future would involve, Peter looked at another disciple and asked,

“What about him?”

Jesus basically told Peter:

Don't worry about him.

Follow Me.

And sometimes the hardest answer from God isn't “no.”

It's “not yet.”

Because when you hear “not yet,” you don't know how long the waiting will last.

Maybe you're waiting for a job.
A relationship.
A financial breakthrough.
Healing.
An opportunity.
Or simply an answer you've been asking God for again and again.

And while you're waiting, it can feel like everyone else is moving forward while your life is standing still.

What is the one thing you've been asking God to change that still looks exactly the same?

Hold that thought.

Because today, I want you to see your situation differently.

This is Daily Bread.

We often judge God's work by what we can see.

If the door opens, we think God is working.

If the prayer is answered, we think God is working.

If the situation changes, we think God is working.

But when nothing changes, we start wondering if God is even there.

The Bible gives us another way to think.

Isaiah, chapter fifty-five, verse eight says:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord."

This verse is practical.

When was the last time you were physically tired...

But your mind refused to stop?

You lie down...

But your thoughts keep going.

Tomorrow.

Yesterday.

Your family.

Your money.

Your future.

And suddenly, it's two in the morning...

And you're still thinking.

But listen:

You don't have to solve tomorrow tonight.

Do what you can.

Give God what you cannot control.

Then breathe.

And rest.

So let me ask you:

What is the one thought you wish you could silence right now?

Bring it to God.

He can give you peace even before the situation changes.
