I find that I build up expectations way too high for some future things, only to be let down and disappointed. The followers of Jesus felt let down on Good Friday when they watched as Jesus was beaten and killed. BUT Jesus’ death gives us life. His death paid for our sins. Jesus blew up every expectation of him.

Today’s challenge: Read Mark 15. Remember what Jesus went through to defeat death for us. But also remember that his death is not the end of the story–the end of the story is our eternal life with God!
