Judging others—it’s a super sensitive and confusing topic. As Christians, are we allowed to judge? What does Jesus say about it? We look at Matthew 7:1-5 today where Jesus reminds us emphatically to humble ourselves before we correct anyone else. You think you’re judging others, but what you’re really doing is looking in a mirror and condemning yourself. We don’t have the power or authority to condemn anyone, but God does, yet instead of condemning us, He covers us in His son Jesus. Jesus died for our sins. God helps us, restores our relationship to Him, and puts the best construction on us.

Challenge: Cover people with Jesus. When you’re tempted to judge someone at the store or on social media or at school, see Jesus covering them. Treat them with patience and compassion, and be reminded that God sees you in that way.
