In this flashback to May 22, 2023, Peter tells us that the path to happiness and peace is to love one another like family and to repay insults with blessings. This Peter is so unlike the immature and impulsive person we saw in the Gospels. Peter is passing on what he learned from Jesus, that we must move from being peace lovers to peacemakers.
