Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla

Is God’s love a reward for being good? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 7, 2026, we open Psalm 89:28-30 and hear God promise King David, “My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm for him.” Psalm 89:28 (ESV)

This short Bible devotion shows a promise with no fine print. God knew David’s children would fail and wander, yet He promised anyway. We admit how often we think God is waiting for us to be good enough. Then we hear the good news: His love was never a reward, but a gift from the start. In Jesus, the Son of David, the promise stands forever. He went to the cross to redeem you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In Baptism, God joined you to that promise, and in the Lord’s Supper He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

Nothing you do can cancel His love, and nothing can take it away.

What is the sweetest word you can say to God? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 6, 2026, we open Psalm 89:25-27 and hear what King David will cry out: “You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.” Psalm 89:26 (ESV)

This short Bible devotion shows the closeness God invites. No one earns the right to call God Father. It is a gift. We admit how far we fall short of being worthy children, then turn to the good news: Jesus is the true Firstborn, the highest of kings, and the Rock of our salvation. He prayed “Father” in the garden and on the cross to redeem you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In Baptism, God made you His own child, and in the Lord’s Supper He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

You may cry, “Abba, Father,” today. Say it in your prayers.

If you want to pray with confidence and know God as your Father, this devotion is for you.

Who keeps a promise: the strong or the faithful? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 5, 2026, we open Psalm 89:22-24 and hear God promise King David, “My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him.”

This short Bible devotion shows that the promise rests on God, not on David. God says, “I will crush his foes,” so David does not have to win the battle alone. We admit how often we trust our own grip on God, and how weak and sinful we are. Then we hear the good news: your standing before God depends on His faithfulness, not yours. Jesus, the Son of David, kept every promise perfectly and redeemed you on the cross. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. His love has been with you since your Baptism, and in the Lord’s Supper He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

You may feel weak, but His promise does not weaken. His faithfulness is with you all your days.

If you need to lean on God’s strength today, this devotion is for you.

Do you ever feel overlooked? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 4, 2026, we open Psalm 89:19-21 and hear God say of a forgotten shepherd boy, “I have found David, my servant.”

This short Bible devotion shows how God finds the one no one else notices. He chose David on purpose, anointed him with holy oil, and promised to hold him up with His own strong arm. We admit how often we try to hold ourselves up, and how far we fall short. Then we hear the good news: the word Christ means Anointed One, and Jesus is the true King David pointed to. Chosen from among the people and sent by the Father, He went to the cross to redeem you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In Baptism, God claims you as His own, and in the Lord’s Supper He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

You are chosen, found, and never left alone.

If you need to hear that God sees you, this devotion is for you.

Where do you find your confidence? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 3, 2026, we open Psalm 89:16-18 and hear that our shield belongs to the LORD.

This short Bible devotion asks what happens when our good record, strong plans, and own strength fail us, as they always do. We face the truth that we cannot stand before God on our own achievement, then turn to the good news: we stand by His favor, wrapped in the righteousness of Christ. Jesus is your King and your shield. He took the blows aimed at you and redeemed you on the cross. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you His true body and blood and promises His favor again and again.

Walk today in the light of His face. Your confidence is not in what you have done, but in what He has done for you.

If you are weary of trying to earn God’s approval, this devotion is for you.

Can you trust a King who is strong? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 2, 2026, we open Psalm 89:13-15 and see what holds up God’s throne: righteousness and justice, with steadfast love and faithfulness walking in front of Him.

This short Bible devotion shows that God’s power is never cruel and His justice is never cold. We face the truth that our sin deserves His judgment, then turn to the good news: at the cross, justice and love met. Jesus took the punishment Himself, so that God could stay just and still forgive you. Through His redemption you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

Your King is strong and loving. You do not have to carry the weight of your own defense, so rest in Him today.

Who really owns everything you have? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for November 1, 2026, we open Psalm 89:10-12 and hear that the heavens are God’s, the earth is His, and even the mountains sing for joy to their Maker.

This short Bible devotion reminds us that the house, the paycheck, and the very air in our lungs are all gifts. We admit how tightly we cling to our things, and how often we forget the Giver. Then we hear the good news: the Owner of all things came into His own world in Jesus, gave up everything, even His life, and redeemed you. You belong to Him twice over, once because He made you and once because He bought you back. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

Hold your things loosely today, and hold tightly to the Giver.

If you need a reminder of God’s goodness and care, this devotion is for you.

Are you afraid of the storms in your life? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 31, 2026, we open Psalm 89:7-9 and hear that God rules the raging sea. When its waves rise, He stills them.

This short Bible devotion shows that the raging sea stands for everything that threatens to swallow us: sickness, fear, enemies, and sorrow. We admit how small and sinful we are, then turn to the good news. Jesus was in the boat with His frightened disciples, and with a word He calmed the wind and the waves. At the cross, He stilled the storm of your sin and redeemed you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. His faithfulness surrounds you on every side, and in the Lord’s Supper He comes to you with His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

When your waves rise, remember who is in charge. The One who stills the sea has promised to carry you through, and He does not lie.

If you need peace in the middle of a storm, this devotion is for you.

Who is like the LORD? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 30, 2026, we open Psalm 89:4-6 and look up at the heavens to see the great Creator, the one God who has no equal, not even among the angels.

This short Bible devotion begins with God’s promise to King David of a throne that will never end. Human kings die and their kingdoms fall, but God’s promise is bigger than any one king. We face the truth that we are small and sinful before our Maker, then turn to the good news: the Creator of the heavens became a baby in a manger. Jesus is David’s Son, greater than the angels, and He came down to redeem you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and His Kingdom of Heaven has no end. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you His true body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins.

When life makes you feel small, look up. The One who made the stars knows your name.

If you need comfort and a bigger view of God, this devotion is for you.

What does it mean that God’s love never quits? In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 29, 2026, we open Psalm 89:1-3 and hear a song that begins where the last psalm ended in darkness: “I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD forever.” Psalm 89:1 (ESV)

This short Bible devotion explains steadfast love in plain words: a love that keeps its promise even when we are weak, tired, or unfaithful. We face our own failures and sin, then turn to the good news. God swore a covenant to King David, and He kept every word in Jesus, David’s own descendant. At the cross, Jesus sealed a new covenant with His blood, redeeming you. Through Him you receive forgiveness, grace, and salvation, and the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. In the Lord’s Supper, He gives you that same blood with the wine, together with His body in the bread, for the forgiveness of your sins.

Sing today, not because everything is easy, but because God keeps His word. His love was built up in Christ, and it stands forever.
