Why did Israel have to offer sacrifices every single day… and still never be fully cleansed?

In today’s Berean Devotion, we walk through Numbers 26–29 and Luke 2 and uncover three powerful truths:

• God gives fresh starts—even after failure
• God is just and values every person
• The entire sacrificial system was pointing to something better

All those offerings? They were never the solution—they were a setup.

They were meant to make us long for a final sacrifice… one that would actually deal with sin once and for all.

And that’s exactly what we find in Jesus.

We also see the transition from Moses to Joshua and what it teaches us about leadership, authority, and preparing the next generation.

Then in Luke 2, we’re reminded: Jesus didn’t just come as a sacrifice—He came as our Shepherd.

The question is:
 Will we follow Him… or reject Him?
