Uber Eats is partnering with Leafly to deliver cannabis in Canada, marking the first time cannabis will be available on a major third-party delivery platform. Toronto residents aged 19 or older can order from licensed retailers on the Uber Eats app, with the retailer’s CannSell staff delivering the order. Customers must be within the delivery radius of the retailer and will be notified when the order has been accepted, with an estimated delivery time also provided. Only the retailer’s CannSell-certified staff will deliver the order, and they will verify the customer’s age and sobriety as required by Canadian regulations. The first three retailers on the app are Hidden Leaf Cannabis, Minerva Cannabis, and Shivaa’s Rose.
