Walterquits his job and writes a book called elf (about his son Buddy). Budddy and Jovie end up getting married, and they visit the North Pole to visit Papa elf. This is the resolution or ending because it is the reasonable ending to the story. Buddy has solved the main problem, and the suspenseful parts are over.
