“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm chapter 37 verse 23
💬 Reflection
As we move closer to Easter, we are reminded that the story of Christ was not rushed. Every moment, every step, every decision along the way to the cross was intentional. Nothing was random. Nothing was wasted. From the quiet moments of teaching to the powerful moments of healing, and ultimately to the path that led to Calvary, every step Jesus took was ordered.
In the same way, your life is not random.
This verse reminds us that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. That means God is not only aware of where you are—He is actively guiding where you are going. Even when life feels uncertain, even when the road ahead seems unclear, God is still leading.
Many people struggle with this truth because they want clarity before they move forward. They want to see the entire path before taking the first step. But God doesn’t work that way. He leads step by step, moment by moment, teaching us to trust Him daily.
Think about your life right now.
You may be facing decisions that feel overwhelming. You may be wondering if you are on the right path. You may even be looking back at past choices and questioning whether you’ve made mistakes that have taken you off course.
But God’s guidance is not limited by your understanding.
Even when you don’t see it, He is working. Even when you don’t feel it, He is leading. Even when things don’t go the way you expected, He is still in control.
One of the most powerful examples of this is found in the life of Jesus as He approached the cross. He knew what was ahead. He knew the suffering He would endure. Yet He continued forward in obedience, trusting the Father completely.
In Luke chapter 22 verse 42, Jesus prayed, “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”
That is the heart of trust.
It’s not about understanding every detail. It’s about surrendering your will to God and believing that His plan is greater than your own.
As we prepare for Easter, this becomes deeply personal. The same God who guided Jesus to the cross is guiding your life today. The same God who brought resurrection out of suffering is working in your circumstances right now.
There is also something deeply encouraging in today’s verse—it says God delights in your way. That means He is not distant or detached. He is personally involved in your journey. He cares about your steps, your struggles, and your growth.
You are not just following a path—you are walking with a God who delights in you.
So instead of worrying about the future, focus on faithfulness in the present.
Instead of trying to control every outcome, trust God with the next step.
Instead of carrying the weight of tomorrow, walk in obedience today.
Sometimes the next step is small. Sometimes it’s simply choosing to trust God in a difficult situation. Sometimes it’s letting go of fear. Sometimes it’s taking action when you feel uncertain.
But every step matters.
Every step is part of the journey God is using to shape you, strengthen you, and draw you closer to Him.
As Easter approaches, let this truth settle in your heart: God is leading you, even now. You are not lost. You are not forgotten. You are not alone.
He is ordering your steps.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, I trust You with my steps today. Even when I don’t understand the path, I believe You are guiding me. Help me to walk in faith and not in fear. Teach me to surrender my will to Yours, just as Jesus did. Give me peace in the present and confidence in Your plan. Thank You for leading me and for caring about every part of my journey. Amen.
