“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 - 6
💬 Reflection
Today is not about having everything figured out. It’s about trusting God with what’s right in front of you.
As we continue moving toward Easter, this is a season that calls us to deeper trust. Not surface-level belief, but real, daily dependence on God. The kind of trust that shows up when things are unclear, when answers don’t come quickly, and when the path ahead feels uncertain.
Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 - 6 gives us a clear instruction: trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Not part of your heart. Not when it’s easy. Not only when things make sense. All your heart.
That kind of trust is challenging.
Because naturally, we want to understand everything. We want clarity before we commit. We want guarantees before we move forward. We want to feel secure before we take a step.
But God asks for something different.
He asks you to trust Him even when you don’t understand.
“Lean not unto thine own understanding.” That means your perspective is limited. What you see is only a small piece of the bigger picture God is working on. What feels confusing to you is not confusing to Him. What feels delayed to you is not delayed to Him.
God is not guessing. God is not reacting. God is leading.
And here’s the promise: “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
That means when you bring God into your decisions, your thoughts, your daily life—He directs you. Not always with loud answers or dramatic signs, but often in quiet, steady guidance.
A sense of peace.
A closed door.
An open opportunity.
A clear conviction.
These are the ways God directs your path.
Think about Jesus as He walked toward the cross. There were moments where the weight of what was coming was heavy. In the garden, He prayed. He brought His heart before the Father. He acknowledged Him in that moment of struggle.
And then He moved forward.
That is the pattern for us.
Acknowledge God. Trust Him. Take the next step.
You don’t need to figure out next month. You don’t need to solve next year. You don’t need to carry the weight of everything at once.
You just need to trust God today.
Maybe your next step is making a decision you’ve been avoiding. Maybe it’s letting go of something that’s been holding you back. Maybe it’s simply choosing faith instead of fear.
Whatever it is, God is already there.
One of the biggest obstacles to trust is trying to control the outcome. We want to know how things will turn out before we move forward. But faith doesn’t work that way.
Faith moves without full visibility.
Faith steps forward without complete understanding.
Faith trusts that God is good, even when the situation is unclear.
As we get closer to Easter, remember this: the disciples didn’t understand everything as it was happening. They didn’t see the full picture. But God was still working out a perfect plan.
And He is doing the same in your life.
So today, release the need to understand everything.
Let go of the pressure to have all the answers.
And choose to trust God with your next step.
Because when you do, you will begin to see something powerful—God is already directing your path.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, I choose to trust You today. Even when I don’t understand what’s ahead, I believe You are guiding me. Help me not to lean on my own understanding, but to acknowledge You in all my ways. Give me peace as I take the next step, and confidence that You are directing my path. Amen.
