Jennifer Benka, (at 20:41) president and executive director of the Academy of American Poets, joins us to discuss her work with poets.org, National Poetry Month, and Poem-A-Day, an original series that sends a poem everyday to your inbox and currently reaches over 500,000 readers.

 

Directors Kareem Tabsch and Dennis Scholl (at 34:57) join us to discuss their new documentary, "The Last Resort," which looks the work of photographers Andy Sweet and Gary Monroe who documented the vibrant Jewish community that thrived in Miami Beach in the 1970s. Called "The Miami Beach Photography Project," Sweet and Monroe documented the live of retirees, many of whom were Holocaust survivors. "The Last Resort" is now playing at Quad Cinema.
