Psalm 43 is a song that is completely honest in regards to circumstances, but then it sees God in it all. It may be confusing, but there is a place for faith in all that is hard, and that is what the Psalmist chooses to settle his heart on. This is what makes this song of praise so triumphant, for he sees what God is doing. The Lord is driving him step by step to the ultimate refuge for any believer in their time of testing- the Word of the God.

Send out your light and your truth; 
let them lead me; 
let them bring me to your holy hill 
and to your dwelling!
