This week we will continue with our theme of looking at psalms and spiritual songs. But first let me take you to the words of Jesus in Luke 13. Jesus laments over Jerusalem and longs for them to be gathered together “as a hen gathers her brood under her wings.” The Psalm we will be looking at reveals David’s desire to dwell in the house of the Lord, and to be hidden in the shelter of his sacred tent. Hopefully you can already hear the similar desire. The world we live in can feel unsafe and perhaps your week ahead feels uncertain. But this Psalm expresses hope in the midst of darkness and can offer a much needed connection with the Light of Life.
