It is in His presence that we have fullness of joy. Without it, how are we to be set apart from the nations of the world, who do not serve our God. Moses understood that, as do we, that without God’s presence the nations will overtake us and destroy us. With God and His presence, nothing can overtake us, because we have been separated, and uniquely set apart. So even when we are pressed on all sides, laughed at, mocked, with the world and its taunting jeering. We are protected and sheltered from their destructive power.
