The wicked cannot stand in the presence of the Lord. This is an important truth. The flip side of that coin is that we cannot endure in the presence of the wicked without the Lord, and even then, we risk being enticed by the world and pulled under. Those who are adamantly against the Lord can influence us in the wrong direction. Sometimes, we have to shed certain people off, like a snake shedding its skin, if we are to maintain a healthy relationship with God. Shake the dust off our feet and move on.
