Dale is the author two bestselling cocktail books: The Essential Cocktail (Random House), winner of the 2009 Tales of the Cocktail Spirit Awards, and The Craft of the Cocktail (Random House), winner of the 2002 IACP Julia Child Award.  He just debuted his latest book, The New Craft of the Cocktail, Everything You Need to Know to Think Like a Master Mixologist (Random House). He is also the founding President of The Museum of the American Cocktail, located in the Southern Food & Beverage Institute in New Orleans.
