Damn Mom, Really?

Damn Mom, Who Do I Turn To?

Listen Later

On this episode of Damn Mom, Really?, our guest Sunny Morgan gets vulnerable while discussing her late mother, Angie, who passed when Sunny was only 12 years old due to complications following years of drugs use. As a teenager, Sunny found it hard to connect with people both inside and outside of her family because of the trauma she endured as a child. She also talks about how grief has forced her into a victim mindset, what it was like losing both parents less than a year a part, the instability she's always felt,  how hyper-independence has effected her in the long run and how she felt guilty because of feelings of "relief" after her mom passed. We've seen time and time again that grief is complicated, but valid in all forms. Listen to Sunny so eloquently portray that truth in this episode of Damn Mom, Really?
