Thando was born in Zimbabwe and was only 3 months on when her mother, aged 22, passed away with little explanation. We taped this tearful episode on Mohter's Day which was a first for both of us in different ways. For me, it was my first mothers day without my mother and for her, it was the first time she wished a happy mothers day to hers. Because Thando was only 3 months when her mother passed, she has not recollection of her but has dealt with the grief and the pain of loss for as long as she can remember.
