On episode 34, Dan and Jon sample some staple Nashville beers (and a Michigan hard seltzer because why not?)
Also Jon teaches Dan the classic American Easter past time, Peep jousting.
First up, the Smooj Tropical Trip - a hard smoothie-ish seltzer packed with real passionfruit, mango, guava, pineapple & coconut. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth!
Next, we have the classic American Pilsner, Little Harpeth's Chicken Scratch. Jon's go-to drink when he can't decide, and Dan calls it elegantly simple - just like his dance moves.
Moving on, The Rose from Black Abbey Brewing Co. boasts a rich golden color and spicy aroma of clove and candy banana. The Belgian yeast takes center stage with a light and silky palate, finished off with a slightly drying bitterness. It's like drinking malty apple cider vibes - in the best way possible!
Craving a citrus-y wheat beer? Look no further than Mill Creek Brewing Co's Lil Darlin. Orange peel and coriander make for a pleasantly refreshing wheat beer that goes down oh so smoothly.
The Goo Goo Ale from Yazoo Brewing is a perfect match for the original Goo Goo Clusters from the Standard Candy Co, thanks to its blend of cocoa nibs, peanut butter, and vanilla beans. Not our fave, but still delicious.
Inspired by Vermont, Bearwalker by Jackalope Brewing Company is a complex brown ale with pure maple syrup in it. Chocolate malts add roasted notes, while the higher hop content creates a balanced yet intricate taste. Jon recommends pairing it with a burger! Definitely a favorite.
Next, we have Dos Perros from Yazoo Brewing Co. Made with German Munich malt, English Pale malt, and Chocolate malt, this beer is hopped with Perle and Saaz hops. The small portion of flaked maize added during brewing adds a touch of maize sweetness, resulting in a wonderfully bready malt aroma with a noble hop finish.
